Really interesting, thought-provoking book. The characters seemed very real. The wife seemed a little too perfect, but still very likeable. I also think the acceptance of his staff was a little too quick to be realistic, but still it was a great book. I loved the way real current political figures and issues were used throughout the story. It was a very interesting plot, how a Christian presidential candidate, inspired by visits from the spirits of 4 dead presidents, strives to bring our country back to its Christian roots. It was very heartwarming. I co uhh lent put the book down. I hope there is a sequel in the making!
It has been awhile since I have read a book that was not about business. In the past I used to read for pleasure almost daily.
As a resident of the US, but not a citizen, I have watched and learned about US politics from "outside" for most of my life. For the past few years I have listened and learned from neighbors and friends and I have a deeper understanding of the issues and personalities.
The message in this book, though probably not for everyone, uses a unique method to express the values of the Founders and the concerns of today and the future.
I congratulate Jim on a thought provoking , entertaining and enlightening story and look forward to future work
